Drove out of the dealers at around 17:45 today. The Beast is finally here. The wait for it now has become a distant memory. She had done 132kms when she became mine. Looks like TML are making sure that the thing does not fall apart. :-)
No issues with anything. The only thing installed today was the all important iPod Interface and tomorrow it will get V-Kooled. After that will leave it like it is. Just took the family out on a little drive and it is really effortless to drive in the city. Boy am I in for a ride or what.

Where did you get the iPod interface installed ? How much did it cost you ?

Some bad news for your mate. The Balupunkt iPod interface is crap. There are all sorts of limitations that come with it. It only sees the first 9 playlists on your iPod. You can do a software update and get it to see 99 BUT I have never been able to play the 21st track on any playlist. The 5K I spent were really for a glorified iPod Charger.
I now have 1 DVD full of MP3's and that sees me through for music.
Which model of ipod are you using ? Have you updated the software yet ?

The iPod in the car is a 3G one with the 4 buttons above the click wheel. Yes I have updated the Blaupunkt Software for the iPod adapter but the I still do not really use it. Currently using a DVD RW with 4GB of music left on "Mix" mode.
