The Test Drive (TD) is booked for some time next week. As soon as the Dealer has the stock shall get one. Have yet to confirm on the price list and test drive it but what the hell. Live on the edge I say!!!
Before I start on the journey with my new Stead or "Beast" as it is endearingly called let me give you the various reasons that brought me to this decision.
- Needed an Indian SUV that was built for India. (Our Roads, Drivers and Traffic.)
- Needed room for the family and the dog to go on weekend runs into the countryside.
- The new 2.2 Litre engine is built to be cracker. (That is what everyone says.)
- The only other competition the Mahindra Scorpio is not built for 6 Footers like me in mind.
- The overall design of the Safari is much better in my opinion.
- TATA is working hard to improve its After Sales Service (ASS) and I hope to get good value servicing and care after my purchase.
- In the end you cannot beat TATA's Value For Money (VFM) deal.
